Hello, I’m Ruth Thompson, a Yorkshire lass now living in the beautiful Wye Valley town of Monmouth.
Based in Wyesham, just outside Monmouth town centre, my self-contained grooming studio has easy purpose-built drop off and collection (contact free if necessary) and maintains the highest Covid-secure standards. I am fully trained and insured, and specialise in, amongst other things; hand stripping, show grooming and other bespoke grooming services.
I have over 15 years experience in the dog grooming industry, and was originally trained by Clare Hyde.
I currently offer three levels of grooming; from our basic ‘Bronze’ package – bath, style and nail trim, through to our holistic ‘Gold’ package which uses luxury grooming products and coat conditioners, which also provides essential oil aromatherapy treatment, and doggy massage during the groom.
My one-to-one service is also perfect for more nervous dogs, helping maintain a calm and relaxed atmosphere around them during the treatment, and giving owners complete peace of mind. I also offer a free introductory ‘Puppy Groom’ to prepare your young pooches for future grooming sessions.
I have always been an animal lover and dog grooming was a natural progression, following years spent showing Golden Retrievers, stewarding at Crufts and judging at dog shows.
I currently have two dogs, Storm, an Australian Sheepdog and Jack Russell cross, Sparkles – as well as cats, ponies, chickens & ducks.
